Now the apparent low point in the new WHQ was the Scuttlers..so I converted my own!
Isolated the parts for the scuttlers aren’t bad beyond the silly spider on a net but together they didn’t work at all imo.
So I chopped off the heads and arms and trimmed some skaven clan rats miniatures I had.
I think I’ve retained the arachnid shape but also merged it more with my PtG stuff like this.
What’s your thoughts on the matter of Scuttlers? Did I do right or did I just make it worse?

I feel you have stayed relatively true to the original models. If you hadde wanted a completely different look and feel to them you would’ve had to do more…
You have a lot of opportunity in the paint job!

I like them – they keep a lot of the character of the scuttlers without the spider elements. Personally I quite like the spider-goblins, they’re rather fun, but if they’re not to your taste this is a great alternative.

I like both the originals and your version. I can see why people don’t like the way they are designed but I like it.

I like the models but their poses are really boring.
The Scuttlers could of had some really nice Gollum-like poses on rocks as a suggestions.
Yours are neat though, they don’t as deformed as the originals but they are getting there!
Agreed. I’m actually reserving the lower bodies for another project. As for my take on them I see the added benefit of being able to use them as hobgoblins for my CD, ungors for my PtG warband or in Mordheim as something appropriate.

As I’m so swamped with family life and work I need to compromise on all levels of my hobby and as I play so little these days it’s a good way of utilizing my collection 🙂
They look far superiour to the miniatures in the box set.
With all of the gorgeous sculpts in the box they really suffer. Your versions are brill.
