The princeps of the Horrorstalkers is complete.
I think..
Often, less is definitely more but I’m a bit uncertain on his hood. Is it too plain or is it enough? The trappings of their old faith is cast away and I really don’t want it to be too busy.
The skin and metals I’m very happy with though.
It’s a lot smoother but still bruised and strained.
Trust me, if you like this one you’ll love the next as well π

Looks the part well mate. The stand outs for me are that head, the raw wound on the chest (actually the raw wounds around all the socket plug ins too for that matter), the spine and the star on the loincloth – very subtle but a great little touch.
The left arm is brilliant. Held close to the body in a rigid pose – I love it.
Cheers, great to hear you picking out all those elements I’ve worked very hard with π
It looks really cool, even if I cannot see it as a Ruststalker on the battlefield. It is too cool to represent something else than itself. It would need its own rules!
Cheers mate π I’ve taken the same approach with these as I did with the Merciless warband with one exception. Weapons and base size to get wysiwyg in those regards at least. Beyond that I will only let my imagination and/or skill limitation stop me from what I create. Hope that makes sense π
That is excellently demented β looking forward to seeing the next one! I reckon the hood is about right β but what did you have in mind to expand on it?
Cheers mate π glyphs or checkers on the cloth but I don’t want it too busy either.
Hmmm… A checked fringe could look good (when does it not?) and help him stand out as the princeps of the unit. However I donβt think he necessarily needs it. A bit of a cop-out answer but Iβd leave it βtil youβd finished the unit then see if you think he needs it to elevate him from the rank and file.
Yeah that’s basically my conclusion as well π
